Maria A. Hurley, Massachusetts Licensed riding Instructor. 38 years of hands on Horsemanship, Showing, Teaching & Owning Horses, particularly Arabians. Specializing in Spiritual Growth, Natural Horsemanship and emphasizing the "relationship" of the horse & human in all my teachings. I started teaching riding lesson at 8 years old on my own pony to help with my board and upkeep, my pony and I went to work. Working under several noteable Licensed Instructors, I'm proud to be the Horsewoman I am today. I am a member of the Arabian Horse Association, The Natural Horsemanship Boston Group. (NHB) and American Quarter Horse Association. I was previously employed at Ironstone Farm In Andover as a Therapist Coordinator. I worked in conjunction with Therapist's representing the Equine part of the Therapy session, helping Therapists to meet their strategies with our clients. My experience working with Special Needs, children & Adults has been extremely rewarding. I have many years teaching experience all seats, Dressage being the basis of all my riding instruction. My passion is the "healing" that horses bring to our lives, physical, mental and spiritual. My goal is to funnel that healing to all that will have it. Besides being a Licensed Instructor & Owner of Divinity Farm. I was previously layed off from by Cycles 128 Beverly, MA New England Power Sports, incorporating my passion for Iron horses (motorcycles) and knowledge of Sales and Finance, I work as a Business Administrator supporting our Finance & Business departments. Just more of making peoples dreams come true. My work history entails Business Management, Accounting, Executive Assistant, Property & Casualty Insurance, & Real Estatate, Legal Assistant for an Attorney . I have had the opportunity to study child care & become certified and licensed. I owned and ran my own home Child care Business from 1999 -2003, in efforts to work and take care of my own young children. I am CPR certified in both pediatric & Adult CPR. I love children and love teaching & working with them. I am a Notary Public. I have been in the Beauty Industry, as a Salon Owner & Licensed Cosmetologist for many years. My passion is anything related to "Horse's" . I also practice Reiki healing. Being very ambitious, I am constantly attending /School/College and furthering my education. Especially committed to weekly riding lesson with my own personal Instructor. My immediate future goal is to become NARHA certified. Parelli Certification. Other future goals are further certifications in Horsemanship, Legal/Law, Reiki & Web Design. I also enjoy teaching Bible school to the children at our church, Grace Ministries, Saugus, MA.
About Jaime Velez: Horse lover, Farm Owner, Breeder and Massachusetts Licensed horseback Riding Instructor. Jaime has earned a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Equine Management and an Associates in Equine Science Studies. Bilingual, and his ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish makes him "The Superb Horseman & Instructor".
Approx. 35 years ago Jaime's career started out in his Native country, Colombia. Jaime has dedicated his life to his career in the Horse Industry. He works with children of all ages. He himself grew up on a farm, working, riding and caring for horses. He is also employed at Ironstone Farm in Andover and has been for 7 years. Jaime has much experience in teaching Vaulting, and Thereputic Riding, as well as standard English seats.
